I’ve had a very stressful day. It’s been particularly bad, so I feel the need for coffee and cake from Abundance on the Quay. Actually, the day doesn’t need to be bad AT ALL to want coffee and cake from Abundance on the Quay!
Abundance on the Quay: Bellerive Tasmania
Some people might go running in times of stress. I run to the nearest heap of sugar and get me some.
While searching for an important photo from my archives, images from Abundance on the Quay kept calling me. Come and eat cake… that was the general consensus of the message, I could just feel it.
My favourite treat in the whole wide world would have to the chocolate biscuit with peanut butter filling from Abundance on the Quay. It’s the bomb.
Other times, I’ve been tempted by chocolate cake; hot chocolate with a melting moment and salted caramel cheesecake. Obviously, I have way too much stress in my life! But like I said, a good day will do equally well.
Not Just Coffee and Cake
Abundance on the Quay is not just for coffee and cake, although that’s always a good option. The specials board runs to mushrooms with feta and sourdough and they do a delicious trout pâté. The bread served is especially outstanding.
For a little mixture of sweet and savoury, the waffles with bacon, banana and maple syrup do the trick.
I need to stop writing now, and start eating. That will make me feel better, for sure. I hope your day has been relaxing and stress free.
