You want accommodation in Hobart that boasts a great location? Salamanca Inn checks that box, big time! But what else makes the place so special and popular with visitors?

Choose Salamanca Inn: Accommodation in Hobart
We’re practical people. We love a little bit of luxury, just like the next person. But there’s gotta be more than fancy magazines and designer linen. Here’s five of many, many reasons we loved staying at Salamanca Inn.
The Food
Well there’s a shock: food is at the top of our list. Dining at the in-house Beef and Seafood Grill is an amazingly good experience. We’ve written about the restaurant before, and soon we’ll write about our breakfast there as well.

If you want to expand your horizons beyond the hotel building, there’s a gazillion eating and drinking establishments to frequent within walking distance. Some places even provide take-away options.

And here’s the best bit… the suites at Salamanca Inn are fully self-contained, so you can take advantage of the local produce while chilling in your PJ’s. Head out to nearby Wursthaus Kitchen, Salamanca Fresh or Norman and Dann and collect some gourmet delights. Then partake in a glass of wine seated at your very own spacious dinner table. Pop the crockery and cutlery in the dishwasher when you’re done.

Guest Laundry
I said practical, and I meant practical. Salamanca Inn provides a free guest laundry. Free! There’s no saving coins for the washing machines (or dryers) here. And there’s no need to trek to the laundromat with a garbage bag full of dirty clothes.

I was surprised to see the well-equipped laundry room, and clearly… I was impressed by the idea because I’ve included the details here. Honestly, you could stay for ages in this place!
Heated Indoor Pool & Spa
If you’ve had a day out exploring Hobart during winter, there’s a chance you MAY have had a chilly experience. Okay, so it’s cold here sometimes. That can be charming! We fluked snowfalls, but our awesome suite was toasty warm thanks to a personally-controlled thermostat.

And if you need a good soaking to relax weary muscles after a bushwalk or gallery hop, the rooftop pool and spa will appeal. We checked in with a family who were enjoying an end-of-day spa, and they enthusiastically gave the nod to the warm temperature amid the bubbles.

Free WiFi
Do you like to escape the internet when you holiday? That’s so not us! We like to be connected at ALL times, so we can Instagram and Facebook and Twitter to the world. Our suite even supplied a computer, but we could also hook up our own laptops and wotnot. Happy with that.
Personal computer desk
The TV was massive and had Foxtel too. We could watch the screen from our king-sized bed or the squishy red leather couches.

The Silence
Last but by no means least, we loved the silence at Salamanca Inn. There was absolutely no noise from traffic or Hobart’s nightlife. The windows were double glazed which took care of the outside world.

We didn’t hear anyone else’s toilet flushing or shower running either; it was just us. Locked away in our own cocoon, tucked up in our divinely-comfortable bed with our chocolates and pinot noir. This hotel was a little slice of Heaven.

We joked with the lovely receptionist that we could move into Salamanca Inn to live permanently. She agreed. We’re even considering a longer holiday-at-home in Hobart, so we can enjoy more of the stylish good life.

King-sized bed
We stayed as guests of Salamanca Inn for a snow-doused winter weekend in Hobart. Thanks to our hosts, we were able to discover more about the local shops, restaurants, galleries and attractions and will share stories over the coming months to showcase our experiences.

It does look very nice but I expect it is quite expensive accommodation. Everything sounds so perfect and the staff nice, I guess that what you pay for.
I guess it depends what you’d class as “quite expensive” Andrew. Check out the room rates for Salamanca Inn, in particular the special offers on right now which include breakfast. “You get what you pay for” often rings true.
