We’ve mentioned the Bark Mill complex in Swansea before, specifically the museum and bakery, next door to Swansea Backpackers. We just wanted to let you know – very quickly – that the Bark Mill Tavern actually does really decent meals as well.
East Coast Options: Bark Mill Tavern & Bakery
Sometimes readers assume we have nothing nice to say (if we haven’t said anything at all to date) but that’s not the case with the Bark Mill Tavern. We’ve dined there on several occasions, and always received prompt, friendly service and very good meals.
The wood-fired pizza has been a popular pick for our kids. We’ve chosen a variety of salads and other pub-style meals from the regular menu, while the $12-specials board usually offers something tempting for such a reasonable price.
The Bark Mill Tavern is located at 96 Tasman Highway, Swansea on Tasmania’s east coast between Bicheno and Orford. Phone (03) 6257 8094 for details or follow Bark Mill Tavern and Bakery Swansea on Facebook.
