Anyone lucky enough to have known Carol would be aware that she loved Tasmania with a passion, and particularly the history associated with Tasmania. So this month I would like to feature a photo of Callington Mill in Oatlands; a Lincolnshire Tower Mill built by John Vincent in 1837. The mill was recently restored to full working order and is the only one of its type in the southern hemisphere ~ Greg Hale
Recalling… Callington Mill in Oatlands
We did write an article about Callington Mill in Oatlands some time ago, and readers may like to revisit that story.
Thanks to Greg Hale for doing such a fine job selecting a photo each month for Think Tasmania from Carol’s vast collection. We know it inspires happy memories for many readers to see her work shared.
Greg Hale is curating this series for Think Tasmania, featuring a monthly photo taken by Carol Haberle. Greg was a colleague, photography mentor and friend of Carol’s and we’re honoured to continue sharing her great work with readers.
And as this is the December issue of “photo of the month” we’d like to take this opportunity to wish all our readers a very happy festive season. We hope everyone enjoys something great during the Christmas and New Year period. May 2016 be a successful and prosperous year for you too.
