We had the opportunity to visit northern Tasmania again this week, and one of the highlights of our trip was the Evandale Heritage Walk.
After collecting the appropriate brochure from the lovely folk at the Evandale Information and Community Centre in High Street, we set out with map in hand to tour the town by foot. You know we love walking, and heritage buildings, and the weather was absolutely sublime, so all in all it was a stellar experience.
The Information and Community Centre is housed in the Old Evandale State School building, and listed at number one of 47 total attractions to view on the Evandale Heritage Walk. That might seem like a lot of attractions for such a small town, and it is. But all of Evandale is picture-postcard charming, so there’s even more to admire than just the properties listed in the pamphlet. We could’ve spent all day just walking and snapping!
