We found Gordons Hill Nature Recreation Area by accident really. As it happens, there’s an official car-parking section off Cornwall Street near Rose Bay High School. We parked on the opposite side of the hill and came in a “back entrance”. There’s also a set circuit around the outside of the hill. We ignored that completely, totally unaware of the norm, choosing instead to walk over the hill’s top via a set of timber stairs. What were we thinking? Neither of these minor issues mattered, of course. We still thought the place was a good find, and we thought you might like the heads up. If you want the official instructions for a visit to Gordons Hill Nature Recreation Area, visit the Clarence City Council website. Otherwise, check out our mobile phone snaps (below) captioned with our musings.
