New Norfolk: The Cake Lady Cafe
Like the sign says: not just cake! Although eating cake for lunch would be perfectly fine by me. We’ve shared a photo of the pork belly (selected from the specials board) via Think Tasmania’s Instagram account. On this occasion we also chose beef nachos, which came with quite a kick.
While it’s not just cakes, when at The Cake Lady Cafe… you’d have to actually eat cake? Yes! We shared the most divine banoffee pie AND a Florentine biscuit. To this day, we’re still dreaming about that chocolate-covered biscuit.
Coffee and hot chocolate also get a resounding thumbs-up from us. Delivered to the table with a smile, and in the cutest cups imaginable.
Charm Offensive: Quirky + Retro + Vintage
The cafe decor was absolutely charming. I love a good fossick through quirky displays while I’m waiting for food.
We’ll be returning to The Cake Lady Cafe at our earliest opportunity. That cabinet is calling us!
Find The Cake Lady Cafe at 33 High Street (the primary retail strip) New Norfolk, the heart of Tasmania’s Derwent Valley region. Phone (03) 6261 3878 for details or follow The Cake Lady Cafe on Facebook.
