Chop Chop: Australian Axeman’s Hall of Fame
The Australian Axeman’s Hall of Fame is quite a unique attraction with a surprising amount of memorabilia. You really need to check out the trophy cabinet… it’s astounding. If you want some insight into the world of champion woodchoppers, this is definitely the place to go.
The Latrobe venue incorporates a little cafe and a Sunday market (although some of the stalls appear to stay inside permanently). Visit Axeman’s Makers Market on Facebook for more information about that.
The Australian Axeman’s Hall of Fame is located at 1 Bells Parade in the town of Latrobe in north west Tasmania. Phone (03) 6426 2099 for details or follow the Australian Axeman’s Hall of Fame on Facebook. Proprietor Rupert Sadler will be launching a new website in August-September this year, so keep your eyes peeled for that one!
