Earlier this week, we published an article about Shopping in Bicheno which included this snippet about Coastal Style

If you’re like me and you allocate very little time to the latest fashion trends, you can always go shopping in Bicheno for clothes. And accessories. And homewares. All in the one shop; appropriately called Coastal Style. Judging by the hive of activity during our visit, this is THE place to be seen on the east coast of Tasmania.

Coastal Style: A Chain Reaction

Now that mention might seem like a tiny gesture; and it’s just the sort of thing we like to do around here. But Kylie Bates, owner of Coastal Style, was extremely excited to have her business promoted by Think Tasmania. She sent us a lovely message when she read the article to say thanks.

By pure coincidence, we learned that Jen Holdsworth, one of the team from Think Tasmania, is a huge fan of Coastal Style. We asked her why she loves it.

A visit to Coastal Style is an annual pilgrimage for me. Each February my family heads to Honeymoon Bay at Freycinet National Park for five days of camping. Yes, it’s a Holdsworth Challenge… six of us, but what fun we have! Day three is always a trip to Bicheno for a coffee at the Blue Edge Bakery (a simple but missed pleasure when camping) and a walk to the blowhole. Then I sneak off to Coastal Style.

Immediately you are welcomed when walking in, even if you’re dressed in camping fashion… genuine coastal style! The shop has a beautiful coastal theme and stocks many Tasmanian pieces, jewellery and artworks, along with stunning clothing items and  home wares. Without fail, I walk out with a bag of items.

I’m looking forward to my next visit in February. Watch out Coastal Style… the Holdsworth family is on its way!

Thanks: Think Tasmania Style!

Now here comes the best part of this whole scenario. Kylie was so pleased with the attention, she’s going to celebrate by offering a $100 gift voucher to one lucky Think Tasmania reader. How awesome is that? And if you don’t live near east coast Tasmania, don’t despair. Coastal Style also offer online sales through their website. So everyone can play!

As we’ve said before, the competition rules on Facebook are all too mind-boggling, so we’re going to keep this in-house. We’re also going to keep it REALLY simple. If you are subscribed to receive the free newsletter from Think Tasmania, you are eligible to enter. Apparently a random draw is still allowed in Tasmania without applying for a permit, so here’s what you need to do…

Step 1 – be a subscriber to the FREE newsletter from Think Tasmania*

Step 2 – leave a reply at the bottom of this article.

And that’s it! Of course if you’d like to follow Coastal Style on Facebook and keep them in mind for future purchases, that would be a good idea too. Kylie is giving you the chance to win something, after all.

Coastal Style is located at 69 Burgess Street in Bicheno with another store in Quail Street, St Helens. Phone Kylie Bates on (03) 6375 1331 or 0417 510 458. Photos for this article were provided by Kylie Bates from Coastal Style.

Sharing will no doubt lead to similar opportunities in the future, and that can only be a good thing for everyone.

*We ask that you subscribe to Think Tasmania for these giveaway opportunities for several reasons. Of course we’d prefer any prizes go to dedicated followers; and we need to make sure we can contact the winners. What makes it to the newsfeed of Facebook is a bit random, and not everyone even uses social media. Most people can receive an email however, so that’s our sure-fire way of reaching everyone. And finally, we like to share all the great things on offer in Tasmania with as many interested readers as possible – that’s our mission!
