Len Langan recently met with Jackie Cox of Espectra Photography. Jackie is based at Devon Hills, close to the midlands town of Perth, just south of Launceston. We have an article on hand to publish soon about that meeting, together with several stunning images. They’re examples of the fine work visitors can see at an Espectra Photography Exhibition. But we can’t wait any longer to introduce the latest reader giveaway, courtesy of this talented Tasmanian photographer.

Mount Roland: Espectra Photography (photo supplied)
Espectra Photography: WIN
Photographer Jackie Cox has just finished framing a panorama to giveaway via Think Tasmania. The image is of Mout Roland taken from Paradise. Printed on banner fabric and mounted, the outside measurement of the frame is 1200mm x 600mm. The amazing work has a recommended retail value of $450.00.
At the conclusion of the random draw, the framed Mount Roland photograph will be delivered by Espectra Photography to any address in Australia. International readers are welcome to enter the competition, if they’re happy to pay for delivery themselves.
For more information, follow Espectra Photography and Design on Facebook, or contact Jackie Cox by email or phone 0400 630 070. You can also find more details at the Espectra Photography website.
As we’ve said before, the competition rules on Facebook are all too hard, so we’re going to keep this in-house. We’re also going to keep it REALLY simple. If you are subscribed to receive the free newsletter from Think Tasmania, you are eligible to enter. Apparently a random draw is still allowed in Tasmania without applying for a permit, so here’s what you need to do…
Step 1 – be a subscriber to the FREE newsletter from Think Tasmania*
Step 2 – leave a reply at the bottom of this article.
And that’s it! This will be a random draw, so comments won’t influence the outcome. But if you’d like to leave any feedback for Jackie Cox about Espectra Photography, that would be really great. You could discuss your personal desire to win this prize, or even Think Tasmania… we’d love to hear it all, and we’ll be closely following all the comments. We won’t reply individually because that would upset the giveaway app (it might award us the prize!).
Espectra Photography Giveaway ~ Common Sense Please?
- Leave a comment on this post by midnight, 5th August 2013 (local time). We’ll choose a random winner using our website’s giveaway app.
- The framed image (pictured) from Espectra Photography with a retail value of $450.00 is the one and only prize.
- Fair and reasonable terms and conditions automatically apply. So one entry each (our app is able to detect multiple entries).
- Please apply common sense to all aspects of this Espectra giveaway… we’d hate to disqualify someone for being silly.
- We won’t use your email address for anything sinister, because we firmly believe in doing the right thing. Always. Don’t you?
- We’ll announce the winner’s name here, on Facebook and Twitter. We’ll also contact the winner by email, and advise Jackie Cox (the owner of Espectra Photography) of the giveaway results.
What else do we need to stipulate? Nothing? Okay… then it’s over to you. Comment away! We wish you all the very best of luck. And if you’d be kind enough to share this Espectra Photography giveaway opportunity with all your peeps, we’d be extremely happy. Besides showing a little friendly community spirit by spreading the joy, sharing will also no doubt lead to similar giveaway opportunities in the future. And THAT can only be a good thing for everyone!
*We ask that you subscribe to Think Tasmania for these giveaway opportunities for several reasons. Of course we’d prefer any prizes go to dedicated followers; and we need to make sure we can contact the winners. What makes it to the Newsfeed of Facebook is a bit random, and not everyone even uses social media. Most people can receive an email however, so that’s our sure-fire way of reaching everyone. And finally, we like to share all the great things on offer in Tasmania with as many interested readers as possible – that’s our mission!
If you like this article about Tasmania, and you’d like to read more, just subscribe to our newsletter or join us on social media via Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest or Instagram. If you really like this article, and you want others to see it, you can choose one of the “share” options below. We’d love that!
Comments relevant to this article are always most welcome, just leave a reply below. But first… please confirm the date of this article. Have you found something current, or is this ancient information? Either way, thanks for your company and come back again soon.

We have been to Tasmania 6 times in three years and every time we drive around , across, through the area Mt Roland is in and every time it is different and takes my breath away. The picture is from an angle I haven’t seen it from before, stunning shot with the cloud hanging over it. Simply beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

Whoever wins this picture will be enthralled every day by the beauty of Tasmania and it will serve as a continuing reminder to them of their own experience with this mountain. I have a large picture of Mt. Wellington and Hobart plus smaller pictures of the Hobart wharves with Mt. Wellington in the background in my house plus books on Tasmania to remind myself of my childhood in Hobart. I am in awe of photographers and artists who capture with camera and paint the exquisite panoramas of Tassie. Every time I am able to visit Tassie (every several years) I want to pack Tassie in my suitcase and bring it back with me.
Hi, my friend Harry, who is originally from the UK, loves Mt Roland and we stayed at Paradise Cottage recently. I remember that farm dam, but not from the great angle that Jacki Cox used. Great picture; Harry would love to win it, via me..

The true essence of the Kentish community. I am now fortunate to have moved to a house facing Mount Roland from Sheffield and would love a piece of this majestic mountain in my home.
A truly magnificent painting from an artist with the ability to capture this proud Mount. Magic!
What a beautiful shot!
I stayed 5 nights in Moina last August and was in awe of Mt Roland as I passed it going to and from Sheffield to get phone reception. Sadly I never stopped to take a photo but if I had it would have been nothing like this one! It was also a welcome sight after I took a wrong turn from Mole Creek and ended up having the most terrifying solo drive of my life through the Gog state forest!
Would love this photo to take me back to those memorable times.
Please chose me to win this amazing photo. My great great grandparents lived in the shadow of the gorgeous Mt Roland, what better way to honor them than to wake to the same view as they did over 100 years ago. You’ve captured this idyllic spot so well. Did you see lots of little birds – swallows?
They’re usually flitting past so swiftly.
