We dined at Jam Packed cafe in the gorgeous IXL atrium of The Henry Jones Art Hotel for breakfast recently. Love that space! And of course… on the Hobart waterfront, what’s not to love?
Jam Packed: Fruit and Honey
I chose the fruit toast for two reasons: (1) the bread came from Pigeon Whole Bakers, one of my favourite places and (2) cherry season will soon be a distant memory, so more of that summer goodness was required.
The delicious fruit toast was served with fresh ricotta and Miellerie honey. I’m so fussy about honey! This brand is produced in Woodbridge by a French beekeeper using organic practices and cold extraction. “Miellerie” honey is delicious, so I will be hunting down more of that ASAP.
Hot Smoked Salmon: Eggs Benedict
Gavin chose the free range poached eggs with hot smoked salmon, spinach, caramelised onion and hollandaise sauce. It was the salmon that called him. I’m not sure, but that too could’ve been sourced from Woodbridge?
Jam Packed is located in The Henry Jones IXL Atrium at 27 Hunter Street on the Hobart waterfront, not far from Drunken Admiral Seafarers Restaurant and AWU Delicious Food Chinese Restaurant. Phone (03) 6231 3454 for details or follow Jam Packed on Facebook.
