This old bus looks like we feel right now. Weary and way past the best-by date. Moving will do that to you!
Vintage New Norfolk: Old Bus
On a Sunday drive to the Derwent Valley back in winter 2013, we happened to stumble upon the old bus, and snapped a few photos. As you do! We shared one image via social media, and lots of readers were interested to know its whereabouts.
Quite a few photographers were inspired to make the hour-long drive from Hobart to capture the old bus in all its glory. If you’re keen to do the same, you may want to check with the managers of Willow Court to make sure the prop is still in situ.
Slowly But Surely
Despite feeling a bit wrecked following the move, we’re ready to get Think Tasmania HQ back on track. We have a nice little view to admire; something to distract us occasionally from our computer screens. And that’s a really welcome thing right now.
Poor Gavin had to soldier on through a very nasty dose of man flu. After our family’s third visit to the clinic during moving week, our concerned doctor prescribed some heavy-duty medication and ordered bed-rest. Thankfully a few days of intense comatose therapy should see Gavin bounce back again soon, and the kids are also on the mend. Hallelujah!
Not to be outdone, I’ve been blessed with a case of RSI this year, and the ongoing agony was ramped up a notch by exit-cleaning and lumping boxes. It’s not exactly the way to execute the recovery treatment I’m supposedly undertaking just now. I swear, I’m just like that old bus! But now the move is DONE, and all will be well from here on.
Advance Removals: Brokers
Thankfully, we had Advance Removals in our corner, and they organised fantastic people to help us out. The removalists they booked for us proved to be professional, diligent and ever-so speedy. We arrived at our new destination without a single scratch or broken item. The chaps who came to move our belongings looked so, so young. Hardly old enough to drive even; though they obviously had a truck licence. Maybe we’re just so, so old? Anyway, thanks Advance Removals, we couldn’t have done it without you!
