Think Tasmania readers would vividly recall the article we published about a scenic flight to the south west wilderness with Par Avion Tours. “Not fair” was the cry… “we want to do that”. You know you can make your own booking any time, right? Take a breathtaking, once-in-a-lifetime trip; share your own collection of photos with all your friends and make them totally jealous too. We would encourage that option!

Scenic flight: Hobart to south west wilderness, Tasmania
Par Avion Tours: Tasmanian Wilderness Scenic Flight
We can also reveal another very exciting opportunity, starting today. One extremely lucky Think Tasmania email subscriber will have the chance to WIN their own journey to discover a World Heritage listed national park in the south west wilderness region of Tasmania. This tour is almost the same as the flight we spoke of, only better; with an extra hour on the ground.

Cruise Melaleuca Inlet to Bathurst Harbour
The winter version from Par Avion Tours lasts five hours and departs from Cambridge Airport daily between May and October. The trip includes travel via scenic flights; a cruise down the Melaleuca Inlet to Bathurst Harbour; refreshments and lunch. This South West Winter Special tour giveaway is valued at $290.
At the conclusion of the random draw, the prize winner will contact Par Avion Tours to arrange a suitable date for their flight. But maybe you don’t want to wait for the prize draw. Maybe you’re looking for a really memorable present for someone special; or know someone deserving of a fabulous experience. Reward for efforts at work, maybe? Congratulations for an achievement? Definitely contact Par Avion Tours… they are giving you the chance to win something, after all.
For more information, follow Par Avion Tours on Facebook, phone (03) 62485390 or contact Par Avion Tours by email. You can also visit the Par Avion Tours website for more, or
visit 115 Kennedy Drive, Cambridge Airport (near Hobart).
As we’ve said before, the competition rules on Facebook are all too hard, so we’re going to keep this in-house. We’re also going to keep it REALLY simple. If you are subscribed to receive the free newsletter from Think Tasmania, you are eligible to enter. Apparently a random draw is still allowed in Tasmania without applying for a permit, so here’s what you need to do…
Step 1 – be a subscriber to the FREE newsletter from Think Tasmania*
Step 2 – leave a reply at the bottom of this article.
And that’s it! This will be a random draw, so comments won’t influence the outcome. But if you’d like to leave any feedback for Par Avion Tours, that would be really great. You could discuss your personal desire to win this prize, or even Think Tasmania… we’d love to hear it all, and we’ll be closely following all the comments. We won’t reply individually because that would upset the giveaway app (we might win the prize!).

And if you’d be kind enough to share this Par Avion Tours giveaway opportunity with all your peeps, we’d be extremely happy. Besides showing a little friendly community spirit by spreading the joy, sharing will also no doubt lead to similar giveaway opportunities in the future. And THAT can only be a good thing for everyone!
*We ask that you subscribe to Think Tasmania for these giveaway opportunities for several reasons. Of course we’d prefer any prizes go to dedicated followers; and we need to make sure we can contact the winners. What makes it to the Newsfeed of Facebook is a bit random, and not everyone even uses social media. Most people can receive an email however, so that’s our sure-fire way of reaching everyone. And finally, we like to share all the great things on offer in Tasmania with as many interested readers as possible – that’s our mission!

With so many things to do and visit in Tassie, this is the next one on my to do list with my husband. We are both so looking forward to doing this trip. Fingers and everything else crossed!
would be a awesome
once in a lifetime experience that I would love to share with my partner.
I have been encouraging my son to camp around Tas over the past few years and recently the mainland, upon his request we visited Strahan in June and would like to share some more of our home state with him before he decides its not so cool to travel with Mum! Lets hope he gets the taste of it before it comes to that!!
Oh my god I would love to!
Hi my friends are leaving Tasmania soon and we don’t want them to miss this tour!
Me and my partner moved to hobart since last year and we had traveled quite a bit to look around tasmania. South west wilderness is one of the area that we havent had a chance to explore yet, trip to the south west is definitely the next thing in our list~!
I chose Tasmania as my first stop of my working holiday since last year September all because of the wilderness of Tasmania which I can’t find anywhere else. I worked here and traveled here, what I feel is all pure and natural, regardless the people or the wilderness in Tassie. I now almost finish my 1-year working holiday, I haven’t left Tasmania. I already travel along the east coast, North East, Northern and Western, just only the South West part of Tasmania left which I can’t get there by my scooter. I really wish that I could get a chance to experience the beauty of South west wilderness, so that I can complete the heart shape of Tasmania. Cheers!

And that marks the end of this opportunity to win a scenic flight to south west Tasmania with Par Avion Wilderness Tours. Comments after this point are still most welcome, but will not be eligible for the prize. We will be conducting the random draw later today, and will be sending a lovely surprise by email to one happy subscriber. Good luck everyone…
And the winner is… Margaret (see above). Margaret’s name was randomly selected as the winner of the scenic flight with Par Avion Wilderness Tours, so it’s happy 40th birthday to her son apparently! How exciting. We’ve confirmed that Margaret is a subscriber with Think Tasmania (well done!), so the prize is all hers. Shannon from Par Avion Wilderness Tours has been sent a copy of the winner’s email, so Margaret can call to arrange the tour on (03) 62485390. Congratulations!
Thanks to everyone else for playing and better luck next time. It’s been lovely working with Par Avion Tours.
Definitely on my bucket list
Would have loved this for my Son’s 40th.
We will be visiting Tassie in October, this would be an awesome experience.
I recommend this flight to everyone to see the awesome beauty of South West Tasmania – that applies to all of Tasmania – glorious scenery everywhere. In 2011 I took this flight on a glorious March day and was enthralled by the whole experience.
