We came across these Tassie Devils on Facebook. There’s no doubting, they’re very cute. But there were two things that really gained our attention. Firstly, the photos of these Tasmanian Softies in iconic locations around the state. And more importantly, the commitment by Angela Wilson and her daughter to contribute to the Save the Tasmanian Devil Program. This is their story.
Tassie Devils: Tasmanian Softies
by Angela Wilson
Thank-you for your comments in regards to our cute little Tassie Devils. My daughter and I came up with the idea last year. We wanted to embark on a business whilst contributing a part of the profits to the Save the Tasmanian Devil Program. We absolutely love Tasmanian Devils and certainly do not want to see them become extinct. We have visited Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary in Hobart, and we were thoroughly delighted to watch healthy Tasmanian Devils enjoying life. We would also like to sell enough of our devils to sponsor a real baby devil.
We currently supply these little devils to Oatlands Handmade and wish to sell some more. We have been in contact with the Save the Tasmanian Devil Program and they have kindly supplied us with cards, stickers and information pamphlets to be included with all of our sales.
We do know that some of our hand made Tassie Devils have already found homes on the mainland. We also travel Tasmania and take a photo with “Tassie” whenever we can. Please see our Tasmanian Softies Facebook page to view these pictures. Once you have your own Tassie Devil you can and add pictures to our wall and show off your special place.
